How to Reach Uravu

From Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode etc. via Kalpetta

Nearest Airport and Railhead to Wayanad is Kozhikode. Taxi services are available from railway station to Wayanad costing about Rs 2,000. Kozhikode is well connected to all major cities in India by train. Regular bus services are available from Kozhikode to Wayanad district head quarters Kalpetta. 

From Kalpetta, head north-east and take the right turn at Kainatty to take the Kozhikode-Mysore-Kollegal National Highway NH212. Take the right turn at Muttil town to take the Muttil-Meppadi route. Drive past Wayanad Muslim Orphanage, St Mary's Church, Karappuzha canal crossing and Vellithodu juction (where you can see "Uravu Bamboo Bags" and "Thrikkaipetta Bamboo Shoot Processing Centre"). A few meteres ahead, there is a bus stop on the right and just after it, the way to the main centre of Uravu.

From Bangalore/Mysore Via Sulthan Bathery

From Bangalore, the way to Uravu is through Mysore, Nanjangud, Sulthan Bathery, Meenangadi and Muttil. Take the left turn at Muttil town to take the Muttil-Meppadi route. Drive past Wayanad Muslim Orphanage, St. Mary's Church, Karappuzha canal crossing and Vellithodu juction (where you can see "Uravu Bamboo Bags" and "Thrikkaipetta Bamboo Shoot Processing Centre"). A few meteres ahead, there is a bus stop on the right and just after it, the way to the main centre of Uravu.
